MY ANALYSIS ON WHY GBC FELL INTO BOTTOM 4 SHOWDOWN 2010

Firstly, if my boss sees that I’m typing this comment, I’m dead. I’m supposed to finish a report by 5 p.m. but work is a little boring today. Jadi, masa untuk selingan.
Secondly, just wanna say gazillion thanks . Watching you guys dance on Showdown has converted me into a fan of B-boying (is that what you call it?). And, introducing me to a whole new world. Never in a million years did I think I would love it so, so much. Jadi, thanks again! You guys rock the stage!
Thirdly, just wanna drop my 2 cents worth of opinion about you guys being in the bottom 4 last week. Okay, being an Analyst, I can’t help myself from analysing kenapa GBC masuk bottom 4. Ridiculous betul. So, below is my 2 cents worth of analysis.
The show - Showdown 2010 is :
a) A live show / Siaran langsung;
b) A show based on votes; and
c) Paling penting, Showdown is aired on National TV.
Since Showdown is aired on National TV, audiences for Showdown bukan typical audiences seperti competition that GBC normally join. Audiences Showdown termasuk fans + rakyat biasa.
Siapakah rakyat biasa? I am an example of bekas rakyat biasa itu. (Tetapi, kini tidak lagi because I am a Giller Battleholic. Yeaahhh!!) Dalam masa yang sama, rakyat biasa juga termasuk kakak-kakak office saya yang rata-ratanya berumur 40-an dan amat meminati Showdown & Wakaka (Please read below why rakyat biasa suka crew like Wakaka ).
Please know that a majority of Showdown audiences terdiri daripada rakyat biasa. And, Malaysian audiences love “drama” (sama ada mereka mengaku atau tidak, we can put that aside first). Because for rakyat biasa yang menonton reality shows in Malaysia, drama = entertainment. Rakyat biasa loves theatrical performances so much and prefer to vote for crews who can bring drama to the stage. Contoh yang paling ketara adalah Wakaka Crew (especially with the Tugu Negara pose last week which although difficult for me to admit - tapi harus diakui memang agak dasyat)
So, although skills Giller Battle are 100% perfect-ness, audiences tend to overlook it. I guess that is why when Giller Battle competes in competition yang dinilai oleh expert judges, you guys win. Because each one of you are really damn good. But, not the case in reality shows like Showdown.
Conclusion/moral of the story: Maybe injecting a lil’ drama in your performances won’t be that bad???

I'm pretty confident you'll guys be "schooling" other crews and rakyat biasa tomorrow night.
Based on your FB, I can see your fans are from pelbagai background. I think you're a very lucky crew to have fans from different sex, race and age. That shows how you managed to dance your way thru' everyone's heart. It is not easy for any artist / kaki seni to do that because usually, setiap artist cater for a very specific audience.
Anyway, again, Teruskan Berjaya!
P/s: Just to let you know, my boss didn't kill me although I tak submit report on time yesterday. Alhamdulillah, umur masih panjang. Pheww....
